Fifty years of authentic painting for Paul Critchley, always faithful to an original research and never influenced by fashion, represent the journey of an artist with a degree in art, capable of combining the sensitivity of the Macchiaioli with the rigor of realism and an extraordinary compositional genius.
His stylistic signature is distinguished above all by the original and ever-changing use of “escape flows” , an element that gives his works such depth and expressive force that they are a “certainly original” presence in the European artistic panorama.
With over four hundred solo and group exhibitions throughout Europe, his artistic career demonstrates an absolute dedication to painting, seen as a language of research, emotion, and truth.
The artist's three-week solo exhibition in the evocative halls of Palazzo d'Avalos in Vasto will conclude on July 19th, an experience that has allowed the public to appreciate his artistic journey of great human and cultural depth.
The artist hereby wishes to express his sincere gratitude to the president of the ACM Carlo Viggiano , to the management team and to the organizers of the event, who contributed to the success of the exhibition with professionalism and sensitivity.
Heartfelt thanks also go to the welcoming "Villa Sandra," Engineer Sergio De Sanctis 's "Molise rural retreat," a place of serenity and inspiration, as well as to the "Natarelli fishmonger" in San Salvo, where, thanks to the friendliness and family atmosphere, the master's latest painting, created during this intense artistic sojourn, took shape.
This original painting, which depicts the entire catch of a Vastese fishing boat on a marble palette upon its return, will be on display at the Natarelli fish market in San Salvo and Via Stadio on July 18, starting at 9:30 am.
With this “original and never repetitive exhibition” the English master Paul Critchley “proposes a new and original path”, confirming that “true art does not know the passing of time, but knows how to transform every experience into a work destined to leave a mark”.
