Paul Critchley es innovador. La irregularidad manifiesta de la forma de sus cuadros se puede observar en la reproducción de la parte superior de la página. Conlleva un interés expectativo grande, tanto, que en momentos la vista se regodea ante la novedad, dejando aparte lo atinado de su pintura. Con un poco de atención también podremos contemplar, con regocijo, esos cielos rasos, intensos, de sus paisajes, sin más nubes que la diafanidad, o esas casas de la coste alicantina, reflejados en todo su tipismo.

Critchley es un valenciano más, pues aparte de su permanencia en esta región, ha sabido amalgamar el ambiente de su tierra con la de estos lares, obteniendo el personalísimo gesto reflejado en el cuadro, de "una ilusión pintada, sino también de un espacio genuino". [...]

Paul Critchley is innovative. The irregularity of the shape of his paintings can be seen in the reproduction at the top of the page. It carries a great expectation, so much so that at times the viewer gloats at the novelty, leaving aside the wisdom of his painting. With a little attention we can also contemplate, with joy, those roofs, the intensity of his landscapes, with no clouds other than diaphanity, or those houses of the Alicante coast, reflected in all its typism. 

Critchley is one more Valencian because, apart from his permanence in this region, he has managed to amalgamate the atmosphere of his land with that of these parts, obtaining the very personal gesture reflected in the painting, of "a painted illusion, but also of a genuine space". [...]
